We are disappointed that our May 2, 2020 Bravo! Gala cannot take place in-person as originally planned. The health and wellness of our supporters, guests, donors, volunteers, vendors, musicians and staff are of the utmost importance and we want everyone to follow the guidelines set in place by our local and federal governments.
In the spirit of enduring optimism, our 2020 Bravo! Gala, IGNITE JOY, has been renamed REIMAGINE JOY, and we invite you to celebrate with us—VIRTUALLY—on May 2nd.
Each year, our Gala raises critical funds for our education and community engagement programs, and this year, there is an added imperative: we urgently need funds to support our musicians. These talented artists are working with us to develop new online learning tools to engage students, teachers, seniors and families, now and in the future.
With all we are facing as a symphony and as a community, reimagining joy is more vital than ever. When we have moved beyond this crisis, and we will move beyond it, our children, our seniors, our hospitals, schools and communities will need music more than ever before. And we intend to be ready to restart, rekindle and return to the music. So together, let’s reimagine joy.
We invite our entire community – and beyond - to “attend” our virtual event; and this year, your involvement is more important than ever before. We are determined to stick together, care for each other, find joy together, and hold onto the music together.
